Your Dream Is Somebody’s Nightmare

Click: Your Dream Is Somebody’s Nightmare

More inspired Feldman lyrics, even if Paul Simon sort of beat him to it with One Man’s Ceiling Is Another Man’s Floor. Who cares, there’s nothing new under the sun, which is actually an old title of mine. If this song in anyway reminds you of old Rhymin’ Simon, though, I have failed completely, as have The Skeletons. Where we were going it’s pretty easy to tell—if we had Charlie and Keith we might have inched closer to the Stones patented groove, but I could barely afford the boys from Springfield. “Your heaven is somebody’s hell” might sound simple and obvious, but it just rolls off the tongue so nicely as it illustrates the karmic principles we all should be working on. Step lightly in this world, no situation is built to last and you may be the guy with the tin cup on the corner begging for a handout next time around.

NOTE: On September 10th, the wagon train heads west. John and Linsey are going to be seeing the USA in their definitely-not-a-Chevrolet for about three weeks. Tune Du Jour will either be on a short break at that time, or a greatest hits scenario might be activated. Since we will be mostly off the radar, a daily posting will be close to impossible. I’m still committed to trying to make my one year total, but the finish line will have to be moved a little beyond the Nov. 2nd date I had in mind. Stay tuned for more announcements as we get closer to the that or any magic number.

Good rocker. In my dreams, I couldn’t see it get any better.
