The interior pressure in a house during a tornado can cause it to explode. That’s kind of the concept here, but substitute “head” for “house.” The idea came from an obvious source, an aerosol can. When you’re down to staring at spray cans for ideas, it’s not a good sign! (Watching Monsters Inc. with my nephew Jackson, I nearly exploded myself when Billy Crystal’s character asks to share John Goodman’s spray can of  “odorant.”) Whatever simplistic pop psychology you might read into the lyrics are redeemed (I hope) by a nice set of changes and a super hooky figure on guitar by Mike Hoffmann. He always manages to scratch out something nice and nasty for tunes like this. This appeared on Quiver a while back, but listening to it today, it still sounds feisty. Maybe Feist should do it!
