Let The Last Chord Ring

Click: Let The Last Chord Ring

There are many wayys to end a song, the slow fade seems to be the way to go when you don’t have a real idea. The big ending, the old standby of every band I’ve been in, is the most common. Everyone piles on and tries to get the last word and the drummer finally ends it with a crash. It’s so bad it’s good. For some it might be the most exciting moment in the song! I like the long ringing chord at the end of the Beatles A Day In The Life. That was four pianos and eight hands, the engineers pushing the faders up as it died down, trying to catch every last drop of resonance. Talk about drama. This is a demo and a possible on the next Semi-Twang project. It seems like the way to end a show or or a concert, but wouldn’t that be a little obvious?
