Waiting On Love

Click: Waiting On Love

No toons for a while as we sort out a non co-operative computer. The photo is one I found online at weirdomatic.com and it aptly describes the day we’re having here. When the weatherman predicts “snow turning to rain” and you wake up to “snow turning to more snow” it’s a drag. Especially on March 9th in Wisconsin. Today’s song starts with the line “I see a bird frozen to a tree.” It was written the first week after moving to Nashville in 1993. Sure enough, even though it was November, the weather followed my family and me 600 miles south. Thinking about the months that I have experienced the fluffy white stuff in my life, I realize there are only four where I haven’t seen it—June, July, August and September. This doesn’t seem right. There are all kinds of techniques for getting through winter with your soul in one piece and I have mastered none of them. This character building experience is, quite frankly, turning me into a character! At least I got this song out of it—I hope you enjoy it. Now I’m going back in my cave to hibernate until May.
