Time Don’t Mean That Much

Click: Time Don’t Mean That Much To Me

This song is from the same batch as “No Use” which I posted yesterday. I held back on putting this collection of songs out—it wasn’t the dark mood on this one, it’s actually kind of funny—instead it was the lower sonic ceiling on my old rig.  I had also recently acquired a gizmo called a Pod (no “i”) which simulated every guitar amp and effect in history and I tried cram them all into this song. Back then, I thought it was a grievous error but I’m finding that after ten years, I have a tendency to forgive myself. The song has “hip” changes and and a nice lackadaisical lyric. I had Ray Charles in my head—in my fantasy he is singing it, not me. I don’t think anyone will be confused about who it is, though.  Anyway, as you can see from the illustration, it’s really just a matter of time before I’m embraced by the art world for my striking appropriations (ripoffs). I figure by the time this blog winds down, I’ll have a cushy gig doing drawings that make no sense for somebody who doesn’t care.
