More Die Of Heartbreak

Click Right Here To Play: More Die Of Heartbreak

Another Feldman lyric, this one based in fact. The staff of researchers he employs for his show must have come across this very telling statistic. And just what is being done to save all these people stricken with heartbreak? No telethons that I know of. No celebrity spokespersons. The field is wide open. This demo is simple and so was my idea for the song. It struck me as a sort of distant cousin of the blues, I’m not sure anyone else would hear it that way. I love the idea of repetition in blues, it let’s the listener know that the singer isn’t joking around. America’s gift to the world, or African-America’s, to be more accurate — it has flourished because it is so absolutely perfect. Before the blues all we had were sonnets and tattoos to express things like this — a large void existed.  I’m just bashing away on the old acoustic for this one — somewhere down the line, drums and evil electric guitars will be added for a more heartbreaking effect.
