Milk Cow

10 Milk Cow

Let’s make Saturday Michael Feldman day. His show, “Whad’ya Know” is on every Saturday at 10am and it’s also the Sabbath. When Mike sent me this lyric I thought, in my overly-tasteful way, that he may have strayed near or over a border with his double entendre, using a term women are not fond of. The more I studied it, the more I came to believe it was that rarest of rare lyric strategies — a single entendre! This guy really has a cow and he really misses it. This demo marks the debut of my boy Sam on drums. He was probably 12 or 13 at the time and he did a great job on that back beat! I cut it on the old Roland set-up and actually finished a project with my pal Mark McCraw helping to produce and engineer. I decided or, many reasons, that I couldn’t put it out. Listening to it now, I like it, but wish it had a little more energy and a little less reverb… and maybe a cowbell!

I agree — at first this ticked me off, but I think you’re right, it really is a man and his cow. A theme song for the small organic dairy farmers out there?
