06 Amusementland

This demo was done in the waning days of Semi-Twang in the early nineties. It was recorded at Joe’s, Victor Delorenzo’s studio, the same place my first solo CD Quiver was cut. Mike Hoffman from Semi-Twang engineering and producing, though this one was cut live. A testament to his mighty skills as a knob twister and the guys I was playing with: Mike Sieger on bass, Bob Jennings on keyboards and Mike Murphy on drums. No overdubs. For you music nuts, it has some nice suspensions in the chorus. The carnival theme and the crestfallen mood pretty much where I was about then, I had an overstock of these kind of songs after Semi-Twang lost it’s WB deal!

Different than anything else I’ve heard you do.

Like this song The program seems to have more glitches in it (skips)

This is one you need to dust off and bring back for your certain to be third Semi-Twang album. Great groove. Love the walking bass and the drum breaks. Just a very cool feel.
You all are proof that those who are misused can still become shiny happy people.

BTW, I really like the sound of this one. Can you upload a version without the digital glitches at 1:32, 3:26, etc? In your free time? Thanks.

There are glitches? Dang! This is all I have in my ‘puter, if I come across a clean copy, I will update. My catalog is in disarray and this blog is part of an effort to clean and organize that particular messy sock drawer.
